Siocon Airport (XSO)

Siocon Airport is a small community airport serving the municipality of Siocon in Zamboanga del Norte, on the southwestern side of the Zamboanga Peninsula in Mindanao. It mainly accommodates general aviation and light aircraft operations rather than scheduled airline traffic, supporting local connectivity in a largely rural and coastal part of the province.

The airport lies about 3 km from the town proper of Siocon and features a single grass runway oriented 09/27. Its compact, community-scale infrastructure is suited to light aircraft, with operations coordinated locally rather than through a large commercial terminal complex.

Road transport connects the airport to Siocon town and nearby coastal communities, including the neighboring municipalities of Sirawai and Baliguian. Travelers typically continue by hired vehicle, tricycle, private transfer, or pre-arranged group transport.

Despite its small size, Siocon Airport plays a practical role for local mobility and emergency or general aviation access in western Zamboanga del Norte. Visitors should confirm flight and ground transport arrangements in advance because passenger services and facilities are limited.
