Barranco Minas Airport (NBB)

Barranco Minas Airport is a small domestic airfield serving the river town of Barranco Minas in the Guainía Department of eastern Colombia. Because the region has very limited road connections, the airport is an important link between the town, the departmental capital Inírida and other parts of the country.

The airfield operates a single asphalt runway designated 09/27, about 900 metres long, at an elevation of roughly 131 metres. Its small passenger area handles a limited number of domestic flights, mainly light aircraft that connect Barranco Minas with Inírida and Villavicencio.

Located within the town on the edge of the Guaviare River, the airport is only a short distance from central Barranco Minas. Inírida lies about 213 kilometres away and is reached by air or by a much longer river journey along the Guaviare, while road access in the area remains minimal.

Passengers should expect basic facilities and plan for limited services, onward travel by small aircraft, river boat or local transport, and travel arranged in advance where possible.
