About Balesin Island Airport
Balesin Island Airport (BSI) is a private airport serving Balesin Island, part of Polillo in Quezon province, Philippines. It operates mainly for guests of Alphaland Balesin Island Club, a members-only resort, and is also known as E.L. Tordesillas Airport after the island's earlier owner.
Located about 60 nautical miles east of Manila in the Pacific Ocean, the island is reached by charter and private flights rather than scheduled commercial service. Flights to Balesin typically depart from Manila and nearby departure points, taking around 20 to 30 minutes by air.
The airport has a single concrete runway of roughly 1,500 meters that can accommodate regional aircraft and private jets, together with a compact terminal for arriving and departing guests. The runway also functions as a rainwater catchment for the island.
Because access is private, airport transfers and onward travel around the island are arranged through the resort, with shuttle or golf-cart connections between the airport, villas, beaches and other island facilities.
