About Atlas Brasil Cantanhede International Airport
Atlas Brasil Cantanhede International Airport is the main airport serving Boa Vista, the capital of Roraima in northern Brazil. Opened in 1973, it connects the city with major Brazilian hubs such as Manaus, Brasília and Campinas, and supports regional travel across the Amazon area. The airport shares part of its site with Boa Vista Air Force Base.
Located around 4 km northwest of central Boa Vista, the airport is a short taxi or car ride from the city's hotels, business areas and public institutions. It has a single passenger terminal that was expanded and modernized between 2023 and 2024, with improved check-in, boarding, arrivals and baggage areas.
The terminal provides a food court, shopping services, free Wi-Fi, parking, car rental desks and taxi access, making onward travel relatively simple. While scheduled passenger service is primarily domestic, the airport also handles general aviation and occasional international operations.
Because of its central location and direct road access, travelers can reach Boa Vista quickly by taxi, ride-hailing, rental car or pre-booked private transfer.
