Alegrete Novo Airport, officially known as Gaudêncio Machado Ramos Airport, is the main airport serving Alegrete and the surrounding western region of Rio Grande do Sul. It reopened to commercial flights in August 2021 after more than four decades without regular operations, restoring a direct air link between the municipality and Porto Alegre.
