Al Udeid Air Base is a military airfield located southwest of Doha, Qatar. Built in 1996 and first used by U.S. forces in late 2001, it has developed into a major U.S. and coalition military hub in the Gulf region.
The base supports U.S. Central Command operations, including the Combined Air and Space Operations Center, and handles military transport, rotator and logistics flights.
