About the Event
Japan Mobility Show 2027 is the next public edition of Japan's flagship international mobility event, organized by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA). As the successor to the Tokyo Motor Show, which dates back to 1954, the show brings together automakers, suppliers, technology companies and startups at Tokyo Big Sight in the Ariake district of Koto-ku, Tokyo, to present the future of how people and goods move.
The event is built as a co-creation platform that goes beyond passenger cars. In recent editions it has drawn participation from the IT, telecommunications and electronics industries as well as established vehicle manufacturers and emerging companies, reflecting JAMA's goal of shaping a broader mobility-based society through shared excitement and collaborative thinking.
Visitors can expect a wide mix of exhibits and experiences. Recent programs have included the Tokyo Future Tour, an immersive journey through near-future city life with robots, flying mobility and interactive design exhibits, and the Mobility Culture Program, which celebrates automotive heritage with historic cars, motorcycle demonstrations, camping vehicles and supercar displays across indoor halls and outdoor areas.
Startups and business visitors are served by the Startup Future Factory, where young companies and university teams exhibit new products and services and compete in the Pitch Contest & Awards, and by the Future Mobility Forum, a conference program featuring JAMA executives and outside experts discussing the future of mobility and its role in society.
The show is designed for a broad audience, from families and car enthusiasts to industry professionals and international visitors. Family-oriented activities such as children's career workshops, hands-on displays and an extensive food truck area have made recent editions popular with younger visitors, while the official app supports planning, reservations and congestion information.
The most recent public edition, Japan Mobility Show 2025, ran from October 30 through November 9, 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight and welcomed more than one million visitors alongside a record 522 participating companies and organizations. Official dates for the 2027 edition had not been announced at the time of writing; the public show follows a biennial autumn cycle.
