About Winslow Lindbergh Regional Airport
Winslow Lindbergh Regional Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving Winslow and northeastern Arizona. It was built in 1929 by Transcontinental Air Transport, and Charles Lindbergh personally selected the site as a refueling stop for the first coast-to-coast passenger service. The airport, which honors Lindbergh's role in its early operations, has been active in its present form since April 1940.
The airfield is notable for its two intersecting asphalt runways: Runway 4/22 at 7,499 feet and Runway 11/29 at 7,100 feet. This layout makes it the only airport in northern Arizona with two intersecting runways. There is no control tower, and Wiseman Aviation serves as the fixed-base operator, providing fuel, aircraft parking, hangars and passenger services.
Located about one mile west of downtown Winslow, the airport sits just off the historic Route 66 corridor. It no longer hosts scheduled commercial airline service, which ended in the 1980s, but it remains an important facility for general aviation, corporate and charter traffic, military training and U.S. Forest Service firefighting operations. Travelers needing scheduled flights typically use Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, about 47 miles west, or Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Passengers arriving at Winslow Lindbergh Regional Airport use the historic terminal and FBO lounge, where rental cars and pre-arranged ground transportation can be coordinated. The compact, low-traffic setting makes it a convenient entry point for Winslow, Meteor Crater, Petrified Forest National Park and the surrounding high desert.

Terminal Overview

Terminals
Winslow Lindbergh Regional Airport operates a single historic passenger terminal building, supported by the Wiseman Aviation FBO passenger lounge on the ramp.
