Winchester Regional Airport is a general aviation airport serving Winchester and the surrounding Frederick County and Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. The facility dates back to 1937, when it was licensed by the Commonwealth as a commercial airport, and it operated as Winchester Municipal Airport until 1987.
Located about three miles southeast of downtown Winchester near Interstate 81, the airport serves private, business and general aviation traffic rather than scheduled airline flights. Its single asphalt runway, 14/32, is 5,500 feet long, and the airfield is supported by the airport-owned fixed-base operator, Winchester Aviation.
The airport is easily reached by road from Winchester, Frederick County and the wider Shenandoah Valley, with taxis, rideshare services, rental cars and pre-arranged transfers available for onward travel. A new FBO terminal opened in 2025, providing modern passenger and pilot amenities.
