About Williston Basin International Airport
Williston Basin International Airport serves Williston and northwestern North Dakota, providing air access to the Bakken oil region and surrounding communities. The airport opened on October 10, 2019, replacing Sloulin Field International Airport as the city's primary commercial airport.
Located about 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Williston, the airport is reached by a dedicated road connection to the U.S. Route 85 truck bypass. Its two-level passenger terminal has ticket counters, rental car counters and baggage claim on the lower level, with security screening, dining and four gates on the upper level.
The airport is served by domestic carriers and provides a compact, modern facility for both business and leisure travelers. Passenger amenities include free Wi-Fi, the Refinery Kitchen and Bar, a gift shop, an ATM, a children's play area and a gaming area.
