Whitehouse Naval Outlying Field is a U.S. Navy airfield in western Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida. It is owned by the Navy and operated as an outlying field of Naval Air Station Jacksonville, supporting carrier-based aviation training.
Used primarily for field carrier landing practice and helicopter training, the field has a single asphalt runway designated 12/30 measuring about 8,001 feet. Carrier deck markings and lighting at both runway ends help pilots practice the approach patterns used aboard aircraft carriers.
The field began as a training airfield during World War II and came under Naval Air Station Jacksonville in 1999 after the closure of Naval Air Station Cecil Field. Located off Halsema Road roughly 18 miles west of downtown Jacksonville, it is a restricted installation without public passenger service.
