About Waynesville-St. Robert Regional Airport

Waynesville-St. Robert Regional Airport is a joint-use public and military airport serving Fort Leonard Wood and the cities of Waynesville and St. Robert in Pulaski County, Missouri. The passenger terminal is operated by the U.S. Army, while general aviation is managed by a board representing the two cities.

The facility traces its history to a World War II-era Army Air Forces field and was known as Forney Army Airfield until 1998. It has a single asphalt runway, designated 15/33, and continues to support both military flight operations and civilian travel.

Scheduled passenger service is provided by Contour Airlines through the federal Essential Air Service program, with flights to Dallas and Nashville. A new terminal broke ground in November 2024 and is expected to open in late 2026, expanding capacity for civilian passengers.

Located on the grounds of Fort Leonard Wood, the airport is about 10 km from Waynesville and a short drive from St. Robert and Interstate 44. Free parking, Wi-Fi, taxis, rental cars, and ground transportation connections make it a practical gateway to central Missouri.
