About Washington-Warren Airport
Washington-Warren Airport (OCW) is a public, city-owned general aviation airport serving Washington and Beaufort County in eastern North Carolina. Activated in July 1942, it began as a military airfield and now supports private, business and general aviation activity.
Located about 2 miles north of downtown Washington, the airport sits close to the Pamlico River and provides convenient access to Washington, Greenville, New Bern and the wider Inner Banks region. It operates two paved runways, 5/23 and 17/35, for a mix of piston and light jet traffic.
The current terminal building was completed in 2014 and dedicated in 2015, replacing a previous terminal that was destroyed by a storm in 2012. The airport is named for North Carolina Congressman Lindsay Carter Warren.
Passenger facilities include a terminal lounge, pilot weather and flight planning services, 100LL and Jet A fuel, hangars, tiedowns and aircraft maintenance. The airport is reached by road from downtown Washington and nearby communities.
