About Walla Walla Regional Airport
Walla Walla Regional Airport serves Walla Walla and the surrounding Walla Walla Valley in southeastern Washington. It is a compact regional gateway connecting the area's wine country, agriculture and local communities to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport through scheduled Alaska Airlines service operated by Horizon Air.
Located about 3 miles (5 km) northeast of downtown Walla Walla, the airport is owned and operated by the Port of Walla Walla. Its single passenger terminal has been expanded and remodeled to provide a larger boarding area and gate space for Embraer 175 regional jets, with check-in, security and the boarding gate all within a short walk.
The airport's history dates to 1922, when Walla Walla's first municipally operated airfield was established near the present site. During World War II it became Walla Walla Army Air Base, and in 1947 it was returned for public use. Today it also supports general aviation, corporate aircraft and air taxi operations alongside scheduled passenger flights.
With free parking, Wi-Fi, a café, a gift shop and rental car services, the airport offers a simple and convenient start or end point for visitors arriving to explore Walla Walla's wineries, downtown and the broader region.
