About Valle del Conlara International Airport
Valle del Conlara International Airport is the air gateway to the Conlara Valley and the Sierra de los Comechingones in Argentina's San Luis Province. Opened in December 2001, the airport sits in Santa Rosa del Conlara, around 18 km southwest of the popular resort town of Villa de Merlo.
The compact terminal has around 3,000 square metres of space with eight check-in counters, a telescopic boarding bridge and a 2,550-metre concrete runway. It mainly handles domestic flights, including scheduled services to Buenos Aires, and is equipped for international operations.
In late 2022 the airport joined Argentina's National Airports System, supporting the resumption of scheduled flights from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires and strengthening access to the region's tourism.
Passengers can continue from the airport by taxi, remis, private transfer, shuttle or rental car; there is no rail link, and public buses stop along nearby Route 148. Its small size keeps check-in and security quick, making it a convenient entry point for the San Luis region.
