Cable Airport is a family-owned, public-use general aviation airport serving Upland and the western Inland Empire in San Bernardino County, California. Opened in 1945 by Dewey Cable, it is widely known as the world's largest family-owned, public-use airport.
The airport sits about 2 miles northwest of central Upland and mainly supports private flying, flight training, business aviation and general aviation aircraft. Its primary runway, Runway 6/24, is roughly 3,863 feet long, with additional aircraft parking, tiedowns and hangar areas on the field.
Located approximately 32 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, Cable Airport is convenient to Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Pomona and the San Bernardino Mountains. Road connections link the airport to nearby communities and the wider Southern California highway network.
