Tuzla International Airport is the main airport serving Tuzla, Živinice and the wider northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina region. Located about 12 km south of Tuzla city centre, it functions as a practical gateway for domestic and international travel, particularly low-cost flights across Europe.
The airport has a military past and was once one of the largest military airfields in the former Yugoslavia. It opened to civil traffic on 10 October 1998 and has since developed into a compact regional airport, with Wizz Air operating a base at the site and several other carriers serving international routes.
