Turbat International Airport (TUK)

Turbat International Airport is a key air gateway for Turbat and the wider Kech District in southern Balochistan. Established in the 1970s, it began with a runway and apron built by the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan to handle small propeller aircraft, and later welcomed Pakistan International Airlines Fokker F-27 services.

Located about 5 km south of Turbat city centre, the airport serves Turbat and nearby communities including Pidarak, Karkiabdar and Kalatak. It is the second-largest airport in Balochistan after Quetta and occupies the largest land area in the province. The single passenger terminal handles domestic and international traffic in designated sections.

The airport is connected to the city by road, with taxis and private transfers providing access to Turbat and onward travel across the region. Domestic flights link Turbat with destinations such as Karachi, Quetta, Gwadar, Panjgur and Dalbandin, while international services have connected the city with Sharjah, Muscat and Al Ain.

Passenger facilities include separate domestic and international lounges, a CIP lounge, snack shops, prayer rooms, lost and found assistance and basic medical services. Recent upgrades have added a new departure lounge, improved apron space and a modern control tower to support growing passenger traffic.
