About Benazirabad Airport
Benazirabad Airport, formerly known as Nawabshah Airport, is a joint civil-military airport serving Nawabshah, now officially called Shaheed Benazirabad, in Pakistan's Sindh province. It supports domestic passenger connections and shares the site with Pakistan Air Force operations.
Located about 3 km from the city centre, the airport covers around 772 acres and has a single concrete runway aligned 02/20. A terminal building was completed in October 1992, and a new apron and runway were commissioned in 1998.
Travellers can continue into Nawabshah and surrounding areas by taxi, local road transport or pre-arranged private transfers. The airport functions as a small but practical regional gateway for domestic travel in southern Pakistan.
