About Turaif Domestic Airport
Turaif Domestic Airport is the airport serving Turaif, a town in Saudi Arabia's Northern Borders Province near the Jordanian border. It opened in 1951/52 and was expanded in 2010 to support domestic air travel in this remote northern part of the country.
The airport operates from a single passenger terminal with a compact footprint of about 896 square metres, including a VIP lounge. It handles domestic services operated by airlines such as Saudia and flynas, connecting Turaif with destinations including Riyadh and Dammam.
Located about 7.5 kilometres northeast of central Turaif, the airport is a short drive from the town. Taxis are available at the terminal, and the airport is reached by local road connections.
Facilities remain practical rather than extensive: the terminal includes a cafeteria, a VIP lounge and a post office, while hotels, banks and medical services are found in Turaif itself. For travellers, the airport works as a straightforward domestic gateway to this northern region.
