Qaisumah–Hafar Al-Batin International Airport serves Hafar Al-Batin and the neighbouring Khafji Governorate in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. The airport opened in 1962 as a simple runway used by Dakota aircraft to transport Saudi Aramco employees between northern stations, and later developed into a modern facility with a 3,000-metre runway and a passenger terminal.
Located about 20 km southeast of central Hafar Al-Batin, the airport connects the region to domestic destinations such as Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as international routes operated by flydubai and Nile Air. A completed 2022 expansion increased annual capacity to more than 700,000 passengers and introduced a shared arrivals hall for domestic and international flights.
The airport is reached by road from Hafar Al-Batin and nearby towns, with taxis, private transfers, chauffeur services and rental cars available for onward travel.
