Tupai Airport (TPX) is a small private airstrip on the uninhabited Tupai Atoll in the Society Islands of French Polynesia. Located about 16 kilometres north of Bora Bora, the airport serves a remote coral atoll that is best known for its heart-shaped outline when seen from the air.
The facility has a single unpaved coral runway and no passenger terminal building. There are no scheduled commercial airline services; instead, the airstrip is used for private charter flights, scenic excursions, emergency landings and occasional visits linked to the atoll's coconut plantations.
Because the atoll has no permanent residents, roads or public infrastructure, access is generally by charter aircraft or boat from Bora Bora and other nearby islands. Flights are limited to daylight hours and depend on weather conditions, so all transfers and return arrangements need to be organised in advance.
For travellers, Tupai is mainly a day-trip and scenic-flight destination rather than a conventional transit hub. The nearest passenger airport and services are at Bora Bora, where onward transport, accommodation and other travel arrangements are available.
