About Togiak Airport

Togiak Airport is the public-use airport serving Togiak Village, a small Yup'ik community on the coast of Bristol Bay in southwest Alaska. Opened in August 1975 and owned by the State of Alaska, the airport provides the community's primary scheduled air connection for passengers, mail, and freight.

The airport has two gravel runways: the main runway 3/21 is about 4,400 feet long and in good condition, while the shorter crosswind runway 10/28 mainly serves smaller aircraft. There is no control tower or large passenger terminal, and operations focus on small commuter and air taxi aircraft.

Scheduled passenger service is provided by Grant Aviation, linking Togiak with the regional hub of Dillingham and nearby communities. Because the village has no road connection to the rest of Alaska, air travel is the main way for residents and visitors to reach Togiak.

From the airport, travelers continue into the village by local vehicle or pre-arranged transfer. Air taxis and charter operators also use the airport for Bristol Bay fishing and hunting access, as well as travel toward the surrounding Togiak National Wildlife Refuge and regional wilderness.
