About Toccoa Airport
Toccoa Airport (TOC), also known as R.G. LeTourneau Field, is a public general aviation airport serving Toccoa, Stephens County and northeastern Georgia. The airfield was created by local businessman and aviation enthusiast R.G. LeTourneau, activated in April 1940, and donated to the city and county in 1961 before being named in his honor.
Located about 3 km (2 miles) northeast of central Toccoa, the airport has two asphalt runways: the main 5,008-foot runway 3/21 and a shorter 2,951-foot runway 9/27. It primarily supports private, business and recreational aviation rather than scheduled commercial flights.
The modern terminal building, completed in 2010, includes a conference room, pilot lounge, crew rest area and full kitchen. The Toccoa Aviation fixed-base operator provides fuel, aircraft maintenance, hangar space, catering, pilot supplies and rental car assistance.
The airport sits in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with Toccoa Falls and Lake Hartwell nearby and Atlanta roughly 90 miles to the southwest. Its position makes it a convenient gateway for business and leisure travel across northeastern Georgia and nearby parts of South Carolina.
