Tivat Airport is the main international airport serving the Bay of Kotor and Montenegro's Adriatic coastline. Located about 4 km from central Tivat, it provides the closest air gateway to Kotor, Budva, Porto Montenegro and the surrounding coastal resorts.
The airport is highly seasonal, handling most of its passenger traffic during the summer months. It traces its history to the post-war period, when a small grass airfield served the area; the current Terminal 1 dates from 2006, and Terminal 2 opened in December 2018 to add departing-passenger capacity.
Tivat Airport handles international scheduled flights together with charter and general aviation traffic, while regular domestic passenger services are not operated. Road access connects the airport to Tivat, Kotor, Budva and other coastal destinations by taxi, private transfer, chauffeur service or rental car.
