Djanet Tiska Airport is the main airport serving Djanet in southeastern Algeria and a practical entry point to the Tassili n'Ajjer region. Opened in 1984, it replaced an older local aerodrome and now combines civil passenger operations with an Algerian air base role.
Located about 30 km south of Djanet, the airport links the town with Algiers and other Saharan destinations including Tamanrasset, Illizi and Ouargla through Air Algérie and Tassili Airlines flights. It is especially important for travelers visiting Tassili n'Ajjer National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its prehistoric rock art and dramatic desert landscapes.
