Tinak Airport is a small public airstrip serving the village of Tinak on Arno Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It provides a domestic air link for the atoll and is used mainly by small aircraft operating between Arno Atoll, Majuro and Likiep.
Activated in 1983, the airstrip has a single coral-gravel runway, designated 05/23 and measuring 2,850 by 45 feet, at an elevation of about 4 feet above sea level. There is no control tower, and passenger facilities are limited to a simple open-air area.
Arno Atoll is the closest atoll to the capital, Majuro, lying roughly 20 km to the east. Because the airstrip sits on the eastern side of the atoll, most onward travel to Majuro is by boat, with journeys typically taking more than an hour, while Air Marshall Islands also links Tinak to Majuro and Likiep by air.
For visitors, Tinak Airport functions as a convenient domestic gateway to Arno Atoll and nearby outer islands. Travellers should plan ahead, as major services such as shops, restaurants and car rental are found in Majuro rather than at the airstrip.
