About Three Rivers Municipal Dr Haines Airport
Three Rivers Municipal Dr Haines Airport (HAI) is a publicly owned general aviation airport serving the city of Three Rivers and surrounding St. Joseph County in southwest Michigan. It has been in operation since December 1944 and is managed by the City of Three Rivers.
Located about 2 miles northeast of the Three Rivers city centre, the airport operates two paved runways: the 4,000-foot Runway 9/27 and the 2,719-foot Runway 5/23. The facility supports private, business and recreational flying, along with flight training and aircraft maintenance.
Because it is a general aviation airport, HAI does not offer scheduled airline service or commercial passenger terminals. Travelers typically use private aircraft, and road access makes it easy to continue by car to Three Rivers and nearby communities such as Sturgis and Kalamazoo.
The airport provides fuel, aircraft parking, an FBO, flight training, aircraft rental, maintenance and other pilot services, with Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport to the north for scheduled commercial flights.
