Thompson-Robbins Airport is a city-owned public general aviation airport serving Helena-West Helena and Phillips County in eastern Arkansas. The site began as a World War II primary flight training school, activated as Helena Aero Tech in 1941 and dedicated as Thompson-Robbins Airfield in December 1941; after the training program ended, the airfield returned to civilian use.
The airport is located about 5 miles (8 km) northwest of central Helena-West Helena and covers roughly 610 acres. It operates two asphalt runways, 18/36 and 9/27, without a control tower.
General aviation services include 100LL and Jet-A fuel, hangars and tiedowns, major airframe and engine repair, flight instruction, aircraft sales and agricultural operations. The airport is open to the public and primarily serves private, business and agricultural aircraft.
