Teniente Benjamín Matienzo International Airport is the main airport serving San Miguel de Tucumán, the capital of Tucumán Province in northwestern Argentina. Built in 1981, the airport opened its passenger terminal on 12 October 1986 and has since become the region's principal air gateway for domestic and international travel.
