Telluride Regional Airport is a compact commercial and general aviation gateway serving Telluride, Mountain Village and the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. Opened in 1985, it sits on Deep Creek Mesa at an elevation of about 9,070 feet, making it one of North America's highest commercial airports.
The airport lies roughly 7 miles (11 km) west of downtown Telluride, with Mountain Village and the Telluride Ski Resort a short drive beyond. It offers scheduled service to Denver and Phoenix through Denver Air Connection and also handles private and charter aircraft.
A single terminal building houses check-in, screening, waiting, arrivals and ground transportation services. The airport's runway is 7,111 feet long and was rebuilt in 2009 and 2010.
Passengers can reach Telluride and Mountain Village by car, shuttle, taxi, private transfer or rental car along Airport Road and Colorado Highway 145.
