About Tanjung Api Airport
Tanjung Api Airport is a small domestic airport serving Ampana, the capital of Tojo Una-Una Regency in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is located in Pusungi village, Ampana Tete district, about 5 km from central Ampana, and is the main air access point for travelers heading to the Togean Islands.
The airport was inaugurated in December 2014 and recorded its first landing in May 2015. Its compact passenger terminal covers about 1,000 square meters and handles domestic flights, supporting regional connectivity between Ampana and destinations such as Palu.
The single runway is about 2,110 meters long and can accommodate small regional aircraft used on domestic routes. Passenger facilities are limited but include waiting areas, prayer rooms, charging points and basic terminal services.
From the airport, travelers continue by road to Ampana town, nearby ferry jetties or onward destinations. Its location makes it a practical gateway for visitors planning trips to the Togean Islands and other parts of Tojo Una-Una.
