Taku Lodge Seaplane Base is a small floatplane landing area on the Taku River in Southeast Alaska, serving the historic Taku Glacier Lodge and the Taku Glacier area near Juneau. Activated in 1962, it is used primarily by scenic flight and charter seaplane operations rather than scheduled airline service.
Located about 22 miles (35 km) from downtown Juneau, the base has no road access and is reached only by floatplane or boat. Its single water landing area runs northeast-southwest, and operations are seasonal, generally taking place during summer daylight hours.
The nearby Taku Glacier Lodge was built in 1923 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Floatplane tours from the Juneau waterfront bring visitors to the lodge dock, offering views of the Taku Glacier and the surrounding coastal mountains.
