Tablón de Tamará Airport (TTM)

Tablón de Tamará Airport is a small regional airfield serving the village of Tablón de Tamará in the Casanare Department of Colombia. Built during the 1930s, it is one of the oldest airports in Casanare and historically supported the movement of coffee and other local goods toward Bogotá and Arauca.

The airport sits on a ridge in the eastern foothills of the Colombian Andes, adjacent to and south of the village. It has a single dirt-surface runway measuring approximately 1,317 metres and currently handles limited general aviation and occasional charter traffic rather than scheduled commercial services.

Located in the municipality of Támara, the airfield is roughly 55 km from Yopal, the departmental capital, with road journeys of about 69 km taking around an hour and a half depending on conditions. The village centre of Tablón de Tamará is only a short distance away, and onward travel depends mainly on private vehicles, taxis and arranged transfers.

Passenger facilities are basic, reflecting the airport's small scale, so travelers should plan ahead and confirm local transport before arriving. The airfield remains a simple gateway to the rural eastern Andean foothills of Casanare.
