Located about 17 km southeast of central Pontianak, the airport operates from a single modern passenger terminal that was expanded and inaugurated in 2017, replacing the older facility. It connects Pontianak with Jakarta, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Batam and other Indonesian cities.
