About Sunriver Airport
Sunriver Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving the resort community of Sunriver in Deschutes County, Oregon. Privately owned by Sunriver Resort, L.P., it opened in 1969 and primarily supports private and charter aircraft travelling to Sunriver and the surrounding Central Oregon area.
Located about one mile west of the Sunriver central business district, the airport has a single asphalt runway, 18/36, measuring 5,460 feet long. It sits at an elevation of roughly 4,164 feet in the high desert near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains.
The airport does not handle scheduled airline service. Arriving passengers are met through the on-site fixed-base operator, which provides aviation fuel, aircraft parking, ground handling, a pilot lounge and rental cars. Sunriver Resort also offers shuttle service for guests travelling around the resort area.
By road, Sunriver Airport is about 15 to 20 miles south of Bend and roughly a 45-minute drive from Redmond Municipal Airport. This makes it a practical private-aviation alternative for reaching Sunriver, Bend and destinations across the Cascade region.
