About Stockton Metropolitan Airport
Stockton Metropolitan Airport is a joint civil-military airport serving Stockton and the surrounding San Joaquin County and Central Valley region. Located about three miles southeast of downtown Stockton, it provides an alternative to larger Northern California airports in Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose.
The passenger terminal was constructed in 1960 and serves commercial flights alongside general aviation and military activity. Allegiant Air restored scheduled commercial service in 2006 and currently offers nonstop flights to Las Vegas, Phoenix and, since May 2025, Denver.
The airport sits between Interstate 5 and Highway 99, giving drivers direct access to Stockton, Modesto, Sacramento and other Central Valley communities. Ride-share services, taxis and private transfers connect the terminal with downtown Stockton and nearby areas, while the main parking lot sits directly in front of the terminal building.
