About Spokane International Airport
Spokane International Airport is the primary commercial airport serving Spokane and the broader Inland Northwest, including eastern Washington, northern Idaho and western Montana. Originally established as Sunset Field and later operated as Geiger Field during World War II, it became Spokane's municipal airport in 1946 and took its current name in 1960.
The airport operates two passenger terminals: Terminal A/B with Concourses A and B, and Terminal C with Concourse C. Together they host major US carriers, with Alaska Airlines as the largest operator and Terminal C serving Alaska and American flights.
Located about five miles southwest of downtown Spokane, the airport is directly accessible from Interstate 90. Travelers can reach the city and surrounding areas by taxi, ride-sharing, private transfer, rental car, shuttle and Spokane Transit bus services.
Passenger facilities include dining, shopping, free Wi-Fi, charging points, nursing suites and a consolidated rental car center, making the airport a practical gateway for both business and leisure travel across the region.
