Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport is the commercial aviation gateway serving Rock Springs and Sweetwater County in southwest Wyoming. Its daily United Express service, operated by SkyWest Airlines, connects the region to Denver International Airport and onward to destinations across the country.
The airport opened an expanded and renovated 34,000-square-foot terminal in September 2025, replacing facilities that dated to an earlier era of commercial aviation. The modernized terminal added the airport's first passenger boarding bridge, a larger holdroom, an expanded baggage claim area and improved amenities for travelers.
Located roughly seven miles east of downtown Rock Springs near Interstate 80, the airport is a short drive from the city and serves as a convenient entry point for Sweetwater County, Green River, Flaming Gorge and nearby energy and outdoor recreation destinations.
