About Southern California Logistics Airport

Southern California Logistics Airport serves Victorville and the surrounding High Desert region of San Bernardino County. Located near Interstate 15 in the Victor Valley, the airport operates primarily as an aviation logistics, aircraft maintenance, and storage center rather than a conventional airline hub.

The site opened as George Air Force Base in 1941 and served as a United States Air Force flight training base until its decommissioning in December 1992. It reopened as a civilian airport, the Southern California International Airport, in October 1994 and later became Southern California Logistics Airport.

Today the airport's long runways and large ramp areas support aircraft storage, maintenance, modification, cargo, charter flights, and general aviation, while also handling troop charter movements for nearby Fort Irwin and the National Training Center.

VCV is about 6 miles northwest of central Victorville and roughly 90 miles northeast of Los Angeles, with road access via Interstate 15, U.S. Route 395, and State Route 18. Passenger services are centered on the Million Air Victorville FBO and the main passenger terminal, which provide lounges, a café, Wi-Fi, crew cars, catering, and ground transportation support.
