South Arkansas Regional Airport at Goodwin Field is a city-owned public-use airport serving El Dorado and the wider south Arkansas region. The airfield was developed in the early 1940s and activated in December 1944, with the terminal building completed in 1947, giving the airport a long local aviation history.
The airport is located about 15 km (9 mi) west of central El Dorado and operates two paved runways. It supports general aviation, corporate traffic and regional passenger flights, giving south Arkansas travelers a direct link to major connecting hubs.
