Singkawang Airport is the main airport serving the city of Singkawang in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Officially inaugurated in March 2024 and opened for flights in April 2024, it was developed as a new gateway to improve mobility and support economic growth in the western part of the province.
Located about 13 km from the city centre, the airport primarily handles domestic flights, with scheduled services connecting Singkawang to Jakarta. Its single passenger terminal of roughly 8,000 square metres and a 2,000-metre runway support narrow-body aircraft such as the Airbus A320.
The airport is reached mainly by road, with taxi and motorcycle taxi services linking the terminal to central Singkawang and surrounding areas. Journey times to the city centre are generally around 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
Despite its compact size, the airport provides essential passenger facilities and serves as an important access point for visitors exploring Singkawang's cultural attractions, temples and coastal areas.
