About Sibi Airport
Sibi Airport is a small domestic airport serving Sibi, a city in Pakistan's Balochistan province. It is operated by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority and sits at an elevation of 436 feet (133 metres), roughly 2 km from the Sibi city centre.
The airport has a single gravel runway, designated 13/31 and about 1,829 metres long, suitable for smaller aircraft. In the late 1980s, Pakistan International Airlines operated Fokker F-27 services from Karachi, but the route was discontinued in the early 1990s. A Civil Aviation Authority tender issued in 2009 called for runway repairs.
Today, Sibi Airport has limited regular scheduled passenger operations, functioning mainly as a minor aviation gateway for Sibi and nearby areas. Road links connect the airport with Sibi city and with Quetta, the provincial capital, about 163 km away by road.
Despite its small scale, the airport provides a convenient local access point for travelers visiting Sibi and the surrounding Balochistan region, with onward journeys typically made by private vehicle, taxi or pre-arranged transfer.
