Seychelles International Airport (SEZ)

Seychelles International Airport is the main international gateway to the Seychelles, located at Pointe La Rue on the east coast of Mahé, roughly 11 km southeast of the capital Victoria. Opened in 1972, it serves as the country's primary entry point for overseas visitors and connects the islands to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, East Africa and the Indian Ocean region.

The airport operates a single runway alongside two passenger areas: a main International Terminal and a smaller Domestic Terminal used for frequent inter-island flights to Praslin and other islands. Air Seychelles is the home carrier, with international services also provided by airlines such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines and Kenya Airways.

Road access along the east coast connects the airport to Victoria in around 15–20 minutes in normal traffic. Travellers can continue by taxi, bus, car rental, private transfer or pre-arranged chauffeur service to hotels, resorts and towns around Mahé.

With duty-free shopping, dining, lounges and other passenger facilities, the airport is a compact and practical starting point for visitors arriving in the Seychelles.
