About Sebring Regional Airport

Sebring Regional Airport serves Sebring and Highlands County in south-central Florida as a public-use general aviation airport. It traces its origins to Hendricks Field, a World War II B-17 training base established in the early 1940s and later transferred to the City of Sebring in 1946, when civil operations began under the name Sebring Air Terminal.

The airport is located about seven miles southeast of central Sebring and operates two asphalt runways, with the longer runway measuring 5,234 feet. It functions primarily for general aviation, private and charter flying, and is owned and operated by the Sebring Airport Authority as part of a wider airport and commerce park.

Part of the former Hendricks Field runway system now forms sections of the nearby Sebring International Raceway, home of the 12 Hours of Sebring, which links the airport to one of the region's best-known motorsport events. The airport therefore supports both aviation users and visitors travelling to the raceway and surrounding communities.

Passengers and pilots are served by the Airside Center and Sebring Flight Center, with amenities such as a pilot lounge, planning room, conference facilities, the Runway Café and fuel services. Road access, taxis, chauffeur services, private transfers and on-field car rental make it relatively straightforward to continue to Sebring and other central Florida destinations.
