About Seattle–Tacoma International Airport

Seattle–Tacoma International Airport is the main international airport serving Seattle and the Puget Sound region of Washington state. Opened in 1944 and dedicated as a full passenger terminal in 1949, it has grown into a major hub for domestic, transpacific, and transcontinental air travel.

The airport is located in SeaTac, about 13 miles (21 km) south of downtown Seattle, and is well placed for travelers continuing to Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, and destinations across western Washington. Its main terminal connects to concourses A, B, C, and D, plus the North and South Satellite terminals, with most international flights concentrated in the South Satellite.

SEA is connected to central Seattle by Link light rail, which reaches downtown in roughly 40 minutes, as well as buses, taxis, ride-hailing, shuttles, and major road links including Interstate 5.

Passengers can find dining, shopping, lounges, Wi-Fi, charging points, and accessibility services throughout the terminal complex, making the airport a practical gateway for visitors arriving in the Seattle area.
