About Seattle Paine Field International Airport

Seattle Paine Field International Airport is a small commercial airport in Everett, Washington, serving Seattle and the northern Puget Sound region. Commercial passenger service began on March 4, 2019, when the terminal opened as an alternative to the much larger Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Located about 25 miles north of downtown Seattle and roughly ten minutes from Interstate 5, the airport is owned by Snohomish County and its passenger terminal is operated by Propeller Airports through a public-private partnership. The terminal is a single building of about 30,000 square feet with two gates, designed to move travelers from curb to gate quickly.

Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air provide flights to destinations across the western United States, making PAE especially useful for travelers in Seattle's northern suburbs and Snohomish County. The airport is also a long-established Boeing manufacturing and testing site and a hub for general aviation.

Passengers can reach the airport by car, valet parking, rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft, taxis, rental cars and private transfers. Inside, the lounge-style terminal offers locally sourced dining, free Wi-Fi and charging at every seat, creating a calm and convenient experience for arrivals and departures.
