Sangster International Airport (MBJ)

Sangster International Airport is the main international gateway for Montego Bay and Jamaica's north coast, serving as the primary arrival point for visitors to resort areas such as Negril, Ocho Rios and Falmouth. The airport has operated at its Montego Bay site since 1947, with the current terminal building opening in 1959 and later expansions adding modern passenger facilities.

Located about 5 km from the centre of Montego Bay in St. James parish, the airport provides connections to destinations across North America, Europe, the Caribbean and beyond. A single terminal building handles both international and domestic flights, with arrivals on the lower level and departures above.

Travelers can continue their journey by authorised airport taxis, hotel shuttles, private transfers, car rental or road links along Jamaica's north coast. The short distance to Montego Bay makes the airport convenient for reaching city hotels, the cruise port and nearby beach resorts.

Passenger facilities include duty-free shopping, restaurants and cafés, Club Mobay lounges, currency exchange, free baggage carts and accessibility services, making Sangster International a comfortable entry point for visitors arriving in Jamaica.
