San Luis Airport is the main airport serving Ipiales and the surrounding Nariño department in southern Colombia. Situated at roughly 2,975 metres above sea level in the Andes, it is one of the highest commercial airports in the country and links this border region with the rest of Colombia.
Located about 7 km from central Ipiales, the airport serves as a practical gateway for travellers heading to the city, the nearby Ecuadorian border at the Rumichaca bridge, and the Las Lajas Sanctuary.
