Salisbury–Ocean City–Wicomico Regional Airport is a public airport serving Salisbury and Maryland's Eastern Shore. Owned by Wicomico County, it opened on November 11, 1943, and has grown into the primary commercial gateway for the Delmarva Peninsula, connecting the region to larger airline networks.
Located about 5 miles southeast of downtown Salisbury, the airport is convenient for travelers heading to Salisbury, Ocean City and other Eastern Shore destinations. Ocean City's beaches are roughly 30 miles to the east, making SBY a practical entry point for coastal vacations as well as business and regional travel.
The airport operates a single passenger terminal, the Richard A. Henson Terminal, which opened in 1990. Commercial service is provided by American Eagle with flights to Charlotte and Philadelphia, along with Breeze Airways nonstop service to Orlando; Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines, is headquartered at the airport.
